Real Wedding Style File
A look at some of our favourite real wedding styles.
The wedding dress and the bride always takes centre stage but when it comes to styling the wedding just about anything goes; from a simple ceremony on the beach to a glamorous wedding in a stately home or castle. And it's not always about budgets. It's more to do with personal style, a creative imagination and those individual touches that make a wedding special.
Approved UK wedding venues take many guises and the popularity of civil celebrants for alternative ceremonies provide couples the option to hold a wedding celebration indoors or out.
Style File - coast and beach ceremony
Jessamin and Joseph's coast and beach wedding, was a week long celebration, styled with the help of family and friends in spectacular Cornwall. The couple were legally married the day before in the local register office before heading off to their venue at Prussia Cove for an outdoor wedding ceremony officiated by an independent civil celebrant. Handmade bow ties for the groom and ushers, jars filled with country flowers gathered from a Somerset garden and tents for the children set the scene for a family wedding followed by surfing with family and friends.

Style File, city ceremony and yurt reception
Bristol Register Office was the venue for a civil ceremony followed by an informal wedding reception for Becky and George in a wedding Yurt on a farm in North Somerset. The couple were on a budget but keen to use local wedding services and Becky's own band made an appearance during the evening! Yummy food was served by Bristol's talented outside catering team Papadeli and guests bought gifts of homemade cakes and biscuits.
